Church Vision and Values
Jubilee Church is an inter-denominational, inter-cultural church serving the English-speaking communities in Korea. Our identity and vision is based on Luke 4:18-19, “to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” In this, we seek to live out the Greatest Command, to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind,” and to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27). We strive to carry forth the Great Commission, to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).
We desire the coming of the Kingdom of God, which is both the rule of God in the hearts of man and also the imminent, second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We desire unity in the church both local and universal; oneness in faith, hope, and love, brought through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
We strive for balance in our lives in the areas of worship, fellowship, service, discipleship, and missions. This balance is for both the corporate body as well as the individual.
We strive to become servant leaders, well-equipped in our hearts, heads, and hands, to be living representatives of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Church Beginnings
Jubilee Church was founded on the following three promises from God’s Word:
The first promise is found in 1 Corinthians 2:9. “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has planned for those who love Him.”
God gave Jubilee Church this word of encouragement as a reminder of the promise of His faithfulness in ways unimaginable to those who love Him sincerely and earnestly.
The second promise is found in Matthew 9:17. “Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
God reminded us that He is the God of new mercies every morning (Lamentations 3:22-24); that He desires to pour out the “new wine” of His new blessings for each and every generation, and therefore, each and every generation needs to be the “new wineskin” to hold His new blessings. In this word was the call to plant a new church.
The third promise is found in Luke 4:18-19 (ref. Leviticus 25:8-55; Isaiah 61:1-2). “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”
This verse contains the vision and values of this church, which is to proclaim that the favor of God can only be found through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In this verse, we also received our name- Jubilee Church.

Church Facts
Jubilee Church first gathered informally for prayer and worship on July 30, 2006. Our official opening service was on September 24, 2006.
Our color is purple, representing the royalty of Jesus Christ but also the waiting and repentant character of His Church.
Our logo is the “Jubilee Cross,” designed with a ram’s horn pattern. The reason for this is because the English word “jubilee,” comes from the Hebrew word, “yobel” which means “ram’s horn.” The first day of Jubilee (the Day of Atonement in the Jewish calendar), in fact, is announced with the sounding of the ram’s horn.
Jubilee Church is a member of The Korean Association of Independent Churches and Missions (KAICAM). This is a non-denominational, not-for-profit, evangelical Christian organization that serves as a hub for registry of independent churches, missions organizations, and other Christian organizations.
